This clip was filmed on the 55th Anniversary of D-day and follows a formation of DUWKS landing on Omaha Beach. The two interviewees are in real life US policemen. This clip is taken from “Battlefield to Remembrance” is dedicated to my dear friend David Forsdike known to the North London Barmy Army as Warrior. David was a former newsreader from ITV Meridian whom I worked with for over a decade. He could pick a story out of thin air and many times on a quite news day he managed just that. He is sadly missed by all, especially those who attend the War and Peace Show, which he loved. This clip has been edited down from Battlefield to Remembrance a documentary together about living history and military vehicles which he narrated on the fly. We literally made the script up in the voice-over booth as we went along.
